If you are unfamiliar with HOBY, each high school in the state of South Dakota is invited to select one sophomore to be the official representative to the HOBY seminar. HOBY seminars are held around the world to inspire youth to become leaders in their families, schools, communities, peer groups & states.

Leadership Seminars

Each year, HOBY invites the principals of all high schools to select their
single most outstanding sophomore to attend the state Leadership Seminar. Outstanding leaders from the entire state of South Dakota join together for a leadership seminar.

Leadership for Service

During the leadership seminar, the HOBY Ambassadors complete a community service project together. At the completion of each seminar, each student pledges to complete 100 more hours of their own time contributing to their local communities.
